SIXTEEN plain Janes fight it out in an extreme new reality show in a bid to become a beauty queen.

The “ugly ducklings” get major plastic surgery, super-strict diets, tough workouts and counselling.

They are banned from looking in a mirror for THREE MONTHS — then the one who has made the most amazing transformation will be crowned “The Swan”.

Millions of US viewers saw last night’s first round of the Fox TV makeover show fronted by ex-Big Breakfast host Amanda Byram.

She said: “Welcome to the most unusual competition ever devised for television.”

Clerk Rachel Le Fraser, 27, narrowly beat air hostess Kelly Alemi, 28. Kelly, who had a boob job and liposuction, said: “Oh my God. I look beautiful.”

Rachel — given a nose job, liposuction and chin implant — declared: “I feel amazing, I feel gorgeous and beautiful.”

The show comes hot on the heels of I Want A Famous Face — in which people have surgery to look like a star.
