Physicians Flock to First Aesthetic Mesotherapy Course in United States;
French Pioneer Practitioners of Mesotherapy Share Expertise with Peers
MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2004--The American Society of Aesthetic Mesotherapy (ASAM) is scheduled to host more than 100 physicians from around the United States on January 23rd and 24th, 2004 for a two-day course on the subject of Aesthetic Mesotherapy hosted in Miami Beach at the Ritz Plaza. Attendees will receive Training Certification from the ASAM.
Pioneered in the1950s by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor, Mesotherapy has
gained tremendous popularity in the United States for its success in the treatment
of weight loss, cellulite reduction, face and neck rejuvenation and hair re-growth
and is applied with a series of painless injections of vitamins, minerals, medications,
and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin.
"Considering only a handful of United States physicians are trained and certified in the practice of aesthetic mesotherapy, we recognized a need to make it easier for U.S. physicians to get the proper training straight from the world renown experts," said Abdala Kalil, M.D., co-chair of ASAM and founder of Miami Beach-based Vitality Institute who initiated this conference.
The Aesthetic Mesotherapy course is divided into a two-part series; a theoretical course and a workshop with practical demonstrations followed by a question and answer session. The theoretical topics include:
-History of Mesotherapy and Definitions
-Technique and Depth of Injection
-Pharmacology
-Cellulite and Weight Loss treatment
-Hair Loss
-Aging Skin
-Mesolift
-MesoBotox
-Scars
-Pain Management
"As the voice of Aesthetic Mesotherapy in the United States; it is ASAM's goal offer our peers a means to get the best and latest Mesotherapy techniques from the expert source," said Kali who will also be teaching the practical part of the course. "Mesotherapy is a breakthrough in modern day medicine that the French have recognized for years."
